Another absolutely marvelous day in the company of these dear friends. A slow morning, then Michael and I off to Ravenscourt Park tube station to pick up Barclays bikes. We then followed Donna, Simon, and Dexter for several miles of cycling along the Thames and got to visit “the allotment” (a garden plot separate from their home). Then a delicious picnic of potato salad and chipotle chicken, nduja sausage pâté, and olive tapenade with roquito peppers. A quick jaunt along the edge of Kew Gardens to see the vistas across the Thames, then a brief cycle through Chiswick House Park (lovely!) The Sunday roast is in the oven…I’m leaving for Amsterdam (redux, briefly) tomorrow afternoon and will miss these lovelies!!
Sally Field must have been thinking “this bitch…”
Barbra Streisand, 1965.
Saw this last night in London—quite wonderful! And really moving to see a wider array of gay stories being told. See it!
We’ve been logging some miles: Borough Market, the Monument, Southwark, Holcomb, Picadilly, Mayfair, Soho. This is a BIG city!
Spent the day with Michael on Hampstead Heath. Vast expanses of woods and clearings. Swam in the Men’s Pool which made for a bracing dip. Variable weather but delicious fish & chips on the way home, and extraordinary clouds as we made our way back!
